Somewhere between burn-out and brown-out, 20th century illnesses, two women, exposed to each other as a palindrome in a distorting mirror, lose their way and return to their wild animal state.
Czech artists Tereza Ondrová, a dancer, and Petra Tejnorová, a director, started an unexpected duet under the direction of choreographer Karine Ponties in which the universe is characterised by a sense of the absurd, an exploration of intimacy, the organic, and human relationships.
Nothing better defines human beings than their ability to accomplish absurd acts to obtain totally improbable results.
In a world in which reason is a beautiful facade, the sudden eruption of the senseless confronts us with our relationship with normality and makes it possible to leave the beaten paths.
Karine Ponties is the author of nearly forty dance pieces, including Every Direction is North (Golden Mask for the best contemporary dance show in Russia), Holeulone (Best dance show in Francophone Belgium), and Brutalis (SACD Award).
