Creation / Premiere
A self-taught dancer who grew up in Kisangani, Djino Alolo is now an established artist who recently performed for Boris Charmatz. This, his second piece, reveals his talent as a choreographer. Inspired by his own story, Piki Pikievokes the suffering in the Congo and the scarifications of a life disrupted by violence but nonetheless resolutely full of optimism.
