MATCH, between Vilma Pitrinaite and Emily Gastineau,is aperformance that takes relation as sport and emotion as score. Two players test the grounds of competition itself, but the rules are always changing. Adapt or perish. Produce or perish.

Vilma Pitrinaite started to dance in Aura company, Lithuania. She studies at CDC Toulouse and Ex.e.r.ce at CCN Montpellier. In the School of National Theatre of Strasbourg she meets Thomas Pondevie and they found WE company. The first project of the company is staged at festival JT14, Théâtre de la Cité Internationale, Paris and festival Premières, Maillon, Strasbourg. Her solo Miss Lithuania, with the support of CDC Toulouse, CND Pantin and Workspacebrussels, is presented in Aerowaves Spring Forward, France, Belgium and Lithuania. Recently she created Pandora for Aura company and two other pieces – Run and MATCH with Emily Gastineau (part of Fillimit and Atlas/Impulstanz young choreographers' networks) are in progress.

Emily Gastineau is a choreographer, performer, and writer, currently based between Minneapolis and Amsterdam. She collaborates with Billy Mullaney under the name Fire Drill. Their work has been presented in Minneapolis, St. Paul, New York City, Oakland, San Francisco, Portland, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Chicago, and most recently commissioned by the Cowles Center, Southern Theater, and Walker Art Center as part of the 2017 Momentum: New Dance Works. Emily is the recipient of grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board and Metropolitan Regional Arts Council. Emily co-founded the reciprocal performance writing platform Criticism Exchange, and she produces programs and publications at the Walker Art Center as Program Manager of Mn Artists. She is pursuing a master’s at DAS Choreography, Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten.
